Words Matter is a mental health and suicide prevention exhibit that I started in 2016. Since its initial exhibition at Meridian City Hall Initial Point Gallery, I have displayed this exhibit at over 20 locations.
The exhibit consists of portraits of those lost to suicide and portraits of those who have struggled with mental health but are still here and their stories. The portraits of the victims are GIFTED to families through the donations of friends, family and strangers. The families were not expecting to receive the portrait when I started this project, they simply wanted to share their loved one's story. It has been a blessing to be able to deliver the original drawings home.
Want to help make a difference in the lives of families who lost a loved one to suicide? By donating, you make it possible for me to keep drawing these portraits for families. You also help frame the portraits so that the exhibit can continue to grow, travel and impact people all over that might be struggling with suicidal thoughts, or those struggling after the loss of a loved one. Help me bring HOPE to the world. DONATE HOPE
